Aim:

To improve skills in sacral anatomy, diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives:

By the completion of this seminar participants will:

Session one is a lecture with a practical component. Sessions two includes a quiz, completed in small group discussion, which is designed to confirm participants understanding of biomechanical concepts behind the diagnosis and technique.

There are two lengthy practical sessions where participants will be fully engaged in diagnostic and technique application.

  • Structure of the bony pelvis
  • Structure of the sacroiliac joints (SIJ)
  • Movement of the SIJ

  • Practical session - standing and seated flexion tests
10.30-10.45 Morning Tea
10.45 - 11.45 Session two - Movements of the SIJ
